Our residency program is housed in a former chapel and features high-ceiling, adaptable studio space open 24 hours a day with some specialized facilities, weekly discussions and optional art outings, inclusion in annual exhibition, and free access to all Post Contemporary events. The living area is a shared space and includes lofted bedrooms, living room / library, dining room, and kitchen & bath.

This is a self-directed residency program with the opportunity to participate in 2016 scheduled Post Contemporary programs.
Residencies happen year round and can be 2 weeks to 6 months. The residencies are artist scheduled and begin on Sundays and end on Fridays. There will be a weekly orientation Sunday afternoon for an introduction to studios, staff and the city of Troy.
In 2011 we launched our Upstate Artists Residency award. Artists residing in any of the communities in Upstate New York will be eligible for a fuly funded residency with a $400-$750 stipend. One award will be given per month. Regular deadlines and application instructions apply. Please simply indicate ‘Upstate Artist’ in the award box of application.
